Measurement of moisture in hay bales, drying silos and silage fodder: 10 to 70% moisture
Measurement of the moisture content of barley and wheat straw: 10 to 50% moisture.
The Wile 27 shows the moisture of the hay or silage fodder, i.e. the water content by weight. The proportion of dry matter is equivalent to 100% minus the proportion of moisture, i.e. for example, 30% moisture corresponds to 70% dry matter.
Hay and straw rot if the moisture content is too high; they can also heat up to a dangerous level in this process. The Wile 27 ensures that your hay bales are dry enough for safe storage.
