Coolspear Hotspot Spear 2.35 metre for Cereals (without Handle), By Evans & Pearce
Condition: New
Constructed from tough, spiral wound, galvanised steel tubing.
A common misconception can be that it is moisture that causes problems in grain when in fact it is moisture and temperature. Hot spots can rapidly occur in grain which is not being adequately cooled or where cooling systems are not spaced correctly.
The Coolspear is a screw in cooling system which provides a quick fix to hotspots when they occur. By winding in a perforated spiral wound spear and placing a fan on top, the Coolspear quickly draws out heat and avoids any potential storage problems before they start.
By winding the Coolspear into the crop and placing a fan on top heat is quickly drawn out of the localised area. The area needing cooling can be extended by placing a circular sheet of plastic round the neck of the spear on the surface of the crop. This will ensure the fan draws air from a wider area.
Used with our VBL6 fan, hot spots can be removed from approximately 50 tonnes of grain in 12 hours. The drive handle is not included, this is sold separately (HA502183)
