Adblue Fluid (Diesel Exhaust Fluid)
Many new diesel engines use a fluid called Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) more commonly referred to as AdBlue.
The purpose of Diesel Exhaust Fluid is to reduce the harmful gases admitted from the exhaust. AdBlue breaks down nitrogen oxide gas (NOx gas) created by the engine into nitrogen and water vapour (nitrogen gas is harmless and the most abundant gas in the Earth's atmosphere).
