How to choose the right insect pest control product
Am I dealing with adult flies or maggots?
Match the product to the life stage. For adult flies, the range includes Lodi Dairy Fly Spray (500ml super concentrate), Twenty One WP Fly Concentrate (1kg), Sheila granular fly bait (2kg, ready to use) and the Redtop Fly Trap. For maggots and larvae, Larvenol Larvicide and Lodi Maggots Granular Larvicide are both sold in 20kg packs. Adult flies and larvae are separate problems, so check the label to see which stage a product targets.
Should I choose a concentrate or a ready to use product?
Concentrates such as Lodi Dairy Fly Spray and Twenty One WP are diluted before use. Ready to use products, including Sheila granular fly bait, Larvenol Larvicide and Digrain Perbio Choc Agri (a 5L oil based insecticide), go on as supplied. Either way, follow the dilution rate and application instructions on the label.
What can I use against wasps, hornets and other insects?
Digrain Wasp and Hornet Nest Destroyer comes in a 600ml can. Phobi Smoke Pro 90C insect smoke bombs come as 6 x 100g canisters. Kill-It Pitfall Cone Insect Traps and Kill-It Insect Bait Bags are each sold in packs of 10.
