TALEX EcoCut PTO Drum Mowers - 1.35m to 2.10m

The TALEX EcoCut is a PTO driven twin drum mower for tractor 3 point linkage. It comes in four working widths so you can match the mower to the tractor you have, from a 25 HP compact up to 70 HP plus. Talex has built these in Poland for over 20 years and we have sold a large number into UK farms since 2015. Every size ships with the PTO shaft included.

Build

The 1.35m, 1.65m and 1.85m use a gearwheel driven cutting unit with double row bearings for long service life. The 2.10m uses a 4 V-belt belt transmission instead, with an overrun clutch on the PTO shaft. All sizes take a 540 rpm PTO input from the tractor, standard across the range.

Blade holders and knives are hardened steel, long pattern at 102mm, with a quick change blade tool supplied as standard on every size. Each plate has 8 holes so you can reposition the holders. Cutting height is set using spacer rings on the plate, the 2.10m adjusts across a 3.5cm to 6cm range.

Two cover options across the range: a reinforced metal cover with a streamlined shape that stops muck building up on top (the 2.10m's metal cover adds extra safety barriers), or a certified canvas cover with a rubber collar along the bottom edge.

If the mower hits an obstacle the breakback system swings the drum back automatically rather than transmitting the impact through the frame. The mower also folds mechanically for transport.

Technical specification

All sizes take a standard 540 rpm PTO input from the tractor. Gearbox output speed above is the internal drum speed after the mower's own gearing, not the tractor PTO speed.
