The Stocks Turbo Jet Seeder is a versatile and accurate pneumatic applicator and seeder.

It can be fitted to a wide variety of machines to deliver product up to 10m working width from grass harrows to cultivators and rolls as well as being employed as an additional applicator on a grain drill.

When used for small seeds, slug pellets or granules the Turbo Jet can be calibrated to apply precise rates across a wide range of products from less than 1kg/ha to more than 100kg/ha. Commonly used for applying clover seed, full rate grass reseeds, Avadex and cover crops.

Two or even three Turbo Jet applicators can be used independently or simultaneously, eg. to apply OSR, slug pellets and fertiliser at the same time, subject to controller. Combining the functionality of other machines with a Turbo Jet creates a one pass machine, thereby reducing workload and thus saving time and money.

Available as an 8 outlet or 10 outlet applicator, the Turbo Jet can deliver product up to 10m working width. It can also be set up with some outlets either blanked off or doubled as necessary depending on application and working width requirement. 

Machines do not come with a seed roller these need adding to the machine selection.

Electronic Controls - Four systems are available - Vari-speed VS-2, Jackal, i-CON and ISOBUS option. Each system is supplied with a control console connector cable (6m) and fused battery lead (5m). Extension cables are available as an option.

Vari-Speed Control :

A simple and effective manually operated electric control is used to instantly start and stop the feed motor e.g. at headlands. The disc speed can be 'dialled up' or down to adjust the spreading width, for example to match the implement width, or use to broadcast small seeds with minimum damage (OSR, turnips, etc). Application rates are set by feed roller speed. Both disc and feed roller speed can be changed on the move from the tractor seat using the simple dial control.

Jackal Rate Control with 7 Pin ISO Plug :

With key-pad menu navigation, the Jackal is an easy to operate, and process either a radar or gearbox speed signal from the tractor’s seven-pin ISO socket means it is able to deliver forward speed-related rate control. Provides real-time machine status monitoring and automatic speed-related rate control.

i-Con Control with GPS (Touch Screen)

Rates are automatically controlled in proportion to forward speed for ultimate accuracy, and the machine can apply variable rates according to mapping data using a GPS based touch screen. Speed & Air Flow - High capacity, reliable, twin electric fans, which are IP68 rated (water and dust resistant) are fitted to all machines.

Working Width - Working width is largely determined by the type of fan and control system selected. All VS-2 controlled models have a maximum working width of 8m. The Turbo Jet 10 i-CON machines are fitted with a powerful digital brushless 12v fan and can spread up to 10m working width. Whichever model is chosen the high-capacity electric fans ensure a reliable spread and the versatile feed mechanism easily adapts for different rates and products.

Seed Hose - The internal diameter of the seed hose is 32mm, considerably larger than most alternatives, which reduces back pressure and results in improved air flow. This enables the delivery of higher application rates at higher forward speeds as well as massively reducing the risk of blockages.

Easy Drain Hopper - Most of the product is emptied from the hopper by removing the drain cap.

Build Quality - A robust chasis design, additional motors instead of drive belts and welds in stead of rivets. The quality of build is self-evident.

Band Sow - Simply position the delivery hose as required across the implement width and remove the outlet deflector plates. Blanking spacers and air stoppers are supplied to reduce the number of outlets for band seeding with a 9, 7 or 5 leg subsoiler for example.

Broadcast - Broadcast width of each spreader will vary with different product being spread, and height from the ground. The hose may need to split using the Y connectors. The hose and spreaders are then fanned out to suit.  Typical height approx 250 – 400mm and will vary according to product being metered. The spreader kit is easily modified as required and extra lengths of hose are available as a cost option

Hopper Level Sensor - Monitors product levels in the hopper and triggers an alarm when levels are low. Standard on i-CON, optional on VS-2.

Auto Shut-off Switch - A useful cut out switch shuts off the feed roller when out of work. Standard on I-CON, optional on VS2

Baffle -  Standard on 400l hoppers to spread the weight on the seed roller and prevent blockages.

Agitator - Powered by a separate electric motor, the agitator is fitted inside the hopper base to prevent difficult seed (e.g. grass seed) from bridging thereby,ensuring a constant flow of seed to the feed rollers. The agitator can be disengaged for delicate seed types.
