DATES FOR THE FARMER’S DIARY

As I write this article, penned carefully on my calendar on the days of the 14th and 15th of June (that’s tomorrow and the day after) is ‘Cereals show’. 2017 marks the 40th year of the Cereals Agricultural event, an annual pre-harvest ‘arable derby’ of sorts, at which Agri-Linc are proud to be exhibiting.

In the unfortunate event that your calendar is not also marked as such, you haven’t missed the bus yet – tickets are still available here: https://cereals17-visitor.reg.buzz/

Cereals 2017

Cereals 2017 will bring together nearly 500 exhibitors to display the most up-and-coming arable technology, to maximise your farm’s profits. Highlights include working demonstrations, the Arable Conference and the Soil Pit (this year it’s a bigger pit than ever before). I quote from event organiser Jon Day, who tells us that the Cereals event shows farmers ‘what they should do, what they could do, and what they would like to do’. Given a current climate of harsh and invariably variable prices, it’s important that farmers are rewarded for every penny they put in, and that’s where we can help. Follow this link to see what our very own PROFORGE will be up to at Working Demo Plot 4004: http://www.agri-linc.com/blog/demonstrations-at-cereals/. See one of last year’s videos with Proforge equipment in use here:

With more than 24,000 people in attendance, you wouldn’t want to miss out on arable farming’s biggest get-together.

Tillage Live

If I turn my calendar a few months forward, the next biggest event is ‘Tillage Live’, which is scheduled this year for the 14th of September at Wickenby Airfield in Lincolnshire. Tillage-live is a showcase demonstration event, with a focus on autumnal cultivation.

Proforge will be demonstrating at ‘Tillage Live’ this year, as we were last year (follow this link: https://agri-linc.wistia.com/medias/bo2pj9nw4d)

Midlands Machinery Show

Another possible fixture in your calendar is the Midlands Machinery Show, on the 22-23 November, at Newark Showground. Perhaps a little less well-known, but nevertheless a fast-growing contender in the world of agricultural exhibiting. It is becoming a major platform for medium-sized businesses who wish to show a diverse range of machinery and agricultural innovation. Spot the ‘Strategically Strong’ PROFORGE red in a video for last year’s event:

CropTec

Not forgetting ‘CropTec’, which is held on the 29th and 30th of November this year at the East of England Showground. ‘CropTec’ refers to itself as an event where farmers and agronomists alike meet to seek methods of best-business practice and the latest innovations to maximise profits from crops. See a short clip of our static stand at ‘CropTec’ last year - featuring PROFORGE equipment.

Lamma 2017

Perhaps the mother of all UK machinery shows is Lamma, which is estimated to attract a mighty crowd of 45,000 visitors. This show takes place on the 17th and 18th of January next year, at the East of England showground. Agri-Linc first exhibited at Lamma in 2014, and we have every year since, with increasing success of our PROFORGE products (see pictures). This show encompasses a huge range of agricultural products and services, from animal feed to toy tractors and machinery. This show is likely host to the largest number of exhibitors, with static stands only, that draw visitors both nationally and internationally.

Yorkshire Agricultural Machinery Show

Another show that might be on your radar is the Yorkshire Agricultural Machinery Show, which will be held at the York Auction Centre, on the 7th of February 2018. This compact show is lauded for a lively atmosphere, with about 100 static stand exhibitors. Since its launch in 2014, the event has been a landmark event in the farming calendar. Seeing as the show is concentrated, your visit here needn’t take more than a couple of hours. This year, the PROFORGE brand made a powerful statement for itself at the show.
If you don’t have these events on your agenda already, now is the time to take note of them. Who knows, perhaps we might see you there!
